Description Heavy Duty 4mm BINDING POSTS Sockets Heavy Duty 4mm BINDING POSTS Speaker Sockets fit 4mm banana plugs and are constructed from a gold-plated brass conductor, ensuring high level of performance and connectivity. The binding posts are gold-plated high quality speaker terminals that need a 5mm hole for mounting and fit panels up to 18mm thick. Consisting of a handy large knurled screw-fit with integral solder lug, they come supplied with a fixing nut. The red and black polarity banded binding posts are designed for panel mounting. No insulation washers are supplied and so non-conductive panels must be used. The use of good quality banana plugs fitted to your speaker cable is recommended when connecting to these speaker binding posts. Alternatively, spade terminal connectors can be used and a 4mm wide through hole is also provided for convenience. Internal termination of cable to binding posts may involve soldering to give optimum sonic performance where speaker cable is to be fitted permanently, for example from a speaker crossover.
