We got this for our kittens (age 11 months) because they just have so much energy, and I am always looking for new ways to keep them busy and engaged. This has a lot of play experiences in one toy, to stimulate their senses. They love the rotating food dispenser (although we haven’t filled it with treats yet, because we don’t need to since they like to spin it without that extra “incentive”), and the hole digging activity, where they have to “dig out” the cat ball by reaching in generously sized hole, perfect for my one girl who is always digging in fabric, etc., she loves this, and it keeps her focused on developing this important hunting skill. We even added an extra ball from one of her other toys so her sister can play at the same time, too. They both like the cat wand teaser, which captures their interest when I rotate the spinner/treat accessory. As a note, this is not a toy that uses batteries, it relies on the cat or you to move to interact with it, just as an FYI.My biggest tip with selecting what kind of toy to get your cat is to understand their personality and what kind of activities they like. I know my kittens love to dig, love balls, love teasers, and things that spin, so I knew this would be interesting to them, because anything they play with has to include a lot of different components to challenge them, so this is something we introduced that checks off a lot of those boxes. This is super easy to assemble, and pretty straightforward in my opinion. This does come with a warning sticker that this is not for kittens 2 months or younger, so keep that in mind when ordering that this is for older kittens or for full-grown cats. (Also, we do store the teaser part away at night, because pet experts say that kittens/cats should always be supervised when playing with teasers.)I believe that if you know that your cat likes toys that rotate, ball digging toys, teaser toys, and toys that can dispense treats, this could be your cat’s next favorite exploratory toy.
